From Your Bulldog Triathlon Race Director...

On behalf of 2010 YMCA Bulldog Triathlon Weekend’s organizing committee, thanks to everyone who participated or volunteered this year.

Participation numbers were down a little over last year but judging by the feedback we received from many of you, we had another successful weekend. The weather this year was excellent and the water temperature / conditions in Lake Erie were also great, much better than last year.

Congratulations to the winner of our triathlon bike raffle, Jeanette Steen.

We think Rondeau is one of the best venues for a triathlon that you’re going to find anywhere. The improvements we made this year on park entry, traffic control, discounts, bike racks etc. were all well received. We won’t be resting on our laurels though and will be considering suggestions you gave us during the weekend for next time.

Finally, on behalf of the children in the YMCA of Chatham-Kent’s Strong Kids Program and the Chatham Y Pool Sharks swim club who benefit from the proceeds from our weekend, thank you very much.
